Absolute favorite new hair product!
Not sure how I stumbled across this most excellent product, but many reviews talked about how good it smells… so i started with the smaller travel size to test it out. And yes, it *really* works well on my fine hair, and smells soooo good. The first day I kept wondering what perfume I had on, then remembered that I had used this on my hair. Not that you’re wafting around in a cloud of scent, but it’s just very pleasant. Kind of woodsy but fresh, easily a uni scent (I also love Maison Louis Marie’s Bois de Balincourt perfume, not that it smells like that, but it’s kind of the same direction). My hair feels silky and bouncy (no frizz!), although one day I went enthusiastically overboard with the spray and it was all a little flat. Live and learn. I also love that it comes in a travel size and full size –– I will just refill the small one from the larger size so I can take it with me on adventures. I’ve already signed up for a subscription because I never want to be without this lovely product.

Absolute love this product

For those who are sensitive to fragrances like me, I recommend ordering the small size of this product to ensure you’ll enjoy the scent that lingers on your hair. Personally, I typically avoid perfumes due to my sensitivity, but I must say that despite the strong fragrance in this and other Davines products, I can’t deny their excellent performance. While I do wish the scents were milder, they are actually quite pleasant, which is why I continue to use them. The fragrance is reminiscent of high-end products rather than typical drugstore hair products and reminds me of Bond No. 9 perfumes.In terms of performance, I found that this product left my hair hydrated, easy to comb through, incredibly shiny, and overall healthy-looking. While it may not have the best ingredients, I have yet to find a “natural” product that effectively works for my wavy hair.

As I age, my hair has now three textures, pin straight, waves and curls. This tames my hair so no matter how I style it, it smells amazing and have no fly aways no matter the style. I just wish it was a bit more affordable so that I could try thr shampoo and conditioner.

Adds a nice moisturizing softness to my curls!
The reviews on here were pretty mixed so I decided to try this product for myself after seeing it on a list of best curly hair products of 2020. I have a larger curl type, and very thick hair prone to frizz. So I can’t attest to any other hair-type, but hopefully this helps some curly-haired people out there. I recently pulled the trigger on curly bangs (maybe out of quarantine-boredom?) and I don’t know how long I’ll keep them but I needed to switch up my routine so they don’t look crazy all the time. So here’s what I’m doing now, on wash days I shampoo + condition my hair with COLD water. If you have curly hair and you’re still using hot water on your head – STOP RIGHT NOW. Lol only use cold water. Then after I’ve rinsed out the conditioner I use a MICROFIBER towel. Gently squeeze as much water as you can out of your hair. Then while hair is still wet, but mostly towel dried so it’s not dripping, I spray the Davines All In One Milk all over my hair, making sure to get the underneath layers (I have so much thick hair). I do about the 10-15 sprays as suggested – sometimes more. I can see if you have thinner hair, this can feel greasy pretty quickly so keep in mind a little goes a long way. It really is a milky consistency. But if you have thick hair like mine, just go for it. It doesn’t make my hair feel greasy at all. Then I comb it through my damp hair with a wide-tooth comb and finally flip over my hair to scrunch with my hands. Unfortunately this is not the ONLY product I use, so if you’re looking for a miracle one-stop product, it really doesn’t work like that for me. Which is why I gave it 4 starts instead of 5. I still then use a dollop of mousse (I use Goldwell) and a dime-size amount of R+Co motorcycle flexible gel that I spread all over my hands evenly and gently run through just to tame frizz. The first day I tried Davines, as an experiment I used ONLY that after showering and it did not work for me, it was soft as heck but still very frizzy. I still have to use my other products to get the nice, soft frizz-less curls that I really want. But I think starting with Davines “preps” my hair for the other products and helps seal in the moisture. I’m on day 3 after washing and the curls have mostly stayed in tact and my hair is incredibly soft! On non-wash days I use a little bit of foaming dry shampoo and then a spray bottle of water to reshape my curls, I find scrunching a few sprays of Davines in really helps the curls take their shape again without washing my hair all over again (the plight of squashed curls) and Davines helps to de-frizz on those days, but I still need a little bit of mousse. (I also live on the East Coast in a fairly humid climate so if you live out West in the US then you might not have the same problem!) Anyway this is the most thorough description I could write out, because the reviews on here weren’t helping me. I hope this helps someone!! Oh and a lot of people are complaining about the scent, I really like it. It’s kind of earthy, floral and maybe even somehow a touch masculine – maybe because of how strong the scent is. I really happen to like the scent, though. But overall, this product allows a moisturizing, natural softness to my hair without the crunchiness of some other curl products!
