Moisturizing
This review is for VIRTUE Scalp Remedy Conditioner. The conditioner is thick so a little goes a long way even on my very long hair. The smell is nice and I’m picky about scents. I like the bottle design that it keeps the lid down so the product is settled and easy to get out. I have noticed that my scalp is not as dry and I have a very dry scalp so this is a step in the right direction and I’m seeing more improvement over time. My hair also feels really nice when it dries — very soft and tangle free. I’m loving this conditioner and would definitely recommend.

Great for oily or irritated scalp
When first using the Scalp Remedy Conditioner by VIRTUE I noticed it was a very thick consistency. The texture is very similar to the thicker hair masks on the market. I personally would use this more like a hair mask, once a week after using a cleansing shampoo. Especially because of the price point. It is a high quality conditioner that is specifically formulated to address your hair and scalps microbiome and I feel it lives up to those claims. I did notice my hair was slightly harder to detangle after using, but a leave in conditioner quickly fixed that problem. I dont think it moisturizes as well as it could but it doesnt dry out my strands either, its sort of mediocre in that aspect. I think this would work wonderfully for someone with shorter hair who has an oily or irritated scalp. I have very long, straight and finer hair so I did find myself needing to use a decent amount to cover just my mids and ends. It’s formulated great for those specific issues, gentle and safe on hair and I would consider it a premium product. If you’re OK with the price than it’s a 5 star product but for me it’s more on the expensive side which is why I rated it 4 stars.

VIRTUE Scalp Remedy Conditioner, Microbiome Balancing for Dry, Oily, and Irritated Scalps
This conditioner is a bit on the pricey side, but it has worked very well for my scalp, does not have any odor/smell, and I like the thickness, which makes it easy to apply. My scalp feels hydrated when I use it and very healthy/smooth. Overall, it gets the job done!

Thick and nourishing!
My wife loves to try new hair products. Her and our 5 year old daughter have very dry and sensitive skin that sometimes affects their scalp, so I thought they’d like to try this. My wife has been very happy with the results. It has no noticeable scent. She immediately noticed during application that it is so incredibly thick – it is like a thick lotion-like texture, thicker than any other conditioner she’s ever used. She is very pleased with the results and will continue to use this great product! It has an easy flip lid and is a squeeze bottle so you can easily get all of the product out.

Lightweight
So far, I’ve been using VIRTUE Scalp Remedy Conditioner and am more than happy with how it is able to balance my scalp. I like that it’s soothing for my dry, irritated scalp without creating excess oil on my hair. I really appreciate that it’s fragrance-free. The conditioner softens my hair and hydrates it without weighing it down, and it’s gentle enough for my color-treated hair, which is a huge plus. It feels luxurious, and I’ve noticed far less irritation since I started using it. The only downside I’ve noticed is that it doesn’t quite detangle as well as some conditioners I had before. I often find myself needing to use a different product to detangle post-conditioning, definitely a minor inconvenience. That said, it still works great on my scalp, and I’m glad I got it!

Not the right fit for me
I have straight- wavy very fine and sparse hair. My scalp gets greasy after a day and my ends are always dry. I thought this was the right conditioner for me but it just didn’t meet my expectations fully.What I liked:- mostly unscented- left scalp feeling cleansed and refreshed, even for a conditioner a- no heavy residue- scalp was less greasy the following day after use- gentle on scalp- hair felt light and bouncyWhat I didn’t care for:- steep price given results- hair was very tangled after use- hair felt drier than usual after use- hair was not as shiny as it normally is after fresh washI felt that this conditioner was great for oily scalps but it was too drying for my ends and didn’t like the way my hair looked or how tangled it was after use. Not the right fit for me.

Extremely Drying
I will say that this is one of the few products I’ve come across that boasts of being fragrance free and manages to actually have zero fragrance. That said, this is not a product I will be using or recommending. It left my hair feeling and looking dry, dull, and unmanageable. I normally have a lot of curl to my hair, but this product weighed it down so much. I don’t know how this could be used on the scalp alone so while it may target that area, the damage it did to my actual hair was not worth any benefit to my scalp. The price point for this is entirely too high for it to make my hair look and feel this bad.
